Amazing what you find in the workplace when you live out in the sticks
Never seen him move so quick (JC not the snake)......took a woman to get rid of it! :Rofl1: :Rofl1:

Nah......a harmless little grass snake - it was more scared than he was

Picked it up with a stick, popped it in a box and released it in the wooded area the other side of the garden - simple

Dan was most upset - he wanted to keep it as a pet

That's a grass snake, they're harmless.

DONT kill it or hurt it, they live on other pests etc.

Cheers

Adders are smaller and more distinctive markings. Best thing for them is a seven iron.
Can take the head right off with a seven iron.

Hi Peter

I knew what it was having grown up in the countryside - I had to move it away from the workshop otherwise he'd have got nothing done this afternoon

If I see an adder I shall get in touch with you pronto!

I feel I must comment on, and inform you of my dismay at your response re the treatment of Adders
any resonable golfer would know a seven iron is over kill and the sound from a 3 wood is so much more satifying

Give Rory a shout he like snakes:Eek!: too

you'd need more than that little thing for a new handbag linda :Rofl1::Rofl1:

I hope you golfing guys were only joking about killing Adders:Angry:
They Like the Smooth and the Grass snake are protected species and killing them can lead to prosecution and a criminal record.
I for one would not hesitate to report anyone I saw killing them.

I guess there'll be no "Miscounting" on the greens with these around.

Sounds like the Golf Course is becoming a very popular place for these to breed.... so Golfer's BEWARE.

GOLFERS at a Borders course have a new handicap to overcome, thanks to the warmest weather for years.
More than 30 adders have been spotted by members of Galashiels Golf Club at their course on Ladhope Hill.

Experts believe the hottest May on record has tempted the snakes out into the open.
