Can anyone recommend a site for a January weekend in the Brecons? Cheers!

Could think of better places to be in January cold wet and even freezing bad enough in the summer let alone mid winter.
Even the sheep abandon the place
bill

You could always stay with Jan and Mike @Beacons lol:xgrin:

We picked some army lads up and fed them before dropping them off in Brecon as they’re dumped up in the hills with nothing at the end of survival training course and expected to get to London with no money , phones or even a smoke so we sorted the lads out with food ( those boys were hungry after a week ! ) some baccy for a smoke and a lift to the bus station.

Hi we are from brecon most sites are closed at mo but there is mh parking on the car park by bus station and also the promenade both of which are signposted
And easy to find hope this helps .

dedicated mh parking spaces.
Also toilets very close.
Handy for the town and a large supermarket.

We stayed overnight in the car park a couple of weeks ago, in the exact position of the heart. Good spot for the town. Remember to pay the parking fee, the 'warden' patrols regularly.

Trainings been moved to Scotland last I was told, beacons can be a killer mid winter and I would stay in a park area lower down and only visit the hills with good equipment and knowledge of the area.

Been their many a time breaking the surface of the water to have a cold wash and crack on.

Cold shivers down my spine, beacons Is not a friendly place for the unprepared.
