Any one asking or telling you to brake the law is guilty of a criminal offenceI believe to be prosecuted for being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the limit the police need to prove "intent to drive".
Keys in a drawer, pyjamas on, drivers seat reversed (if it does), bed made up, mug of cocoa and TV blaring out....definate proof you have no "intention to drive"
It would be a real nasty bastard who 'proved' otherwise
If you are still told to sling yer hook after explaining you are pissed you are then acting on the instruction of an officer of the law and CANNOT be prosecuted.
A closed mate got away with a DD charge as he was told to move his car to a position of safety....and he had Independantwitnesses.
I’m paranoid as well
(Everyone is saying that behind my back, I just know it)
Why did you lay in wait instead of advising the driver that should he drink and drive he would be breathalised.? Surely then you are preventing vaccine rather than waiting for someone who you know,is about to?.if the warning is ignored then they deserve all they get.DUI although do recollect one who I waited half an hour for , he didn't disappoint , he obviously thought he was "safe" after 30 mins, wrong decision !
If you are genuine , my colleagues had the same approach , when you see the frequent catastrophic results of drink driving , there isn't any sympathy if you make the wrong decision .
That's not a problem on any automatic as the inhibitor switch locks the gear lever in 'park' if the key is out of the ignition. I rarely bother to apply the handbrake - it's a good test of a level pitch!I know you're not going to do it, but for example, a drunk could release the handbrake and coast downhill without the engine running, but still in control of steering, braking and propulsion (albeit gravity induced).
The guy had previous , and had been difficult to catch repeat offending , which we had info he was doing , how many chances are you entitled to ?Why did you lay in wait instead of advising the driver that should he drink and drive he would be breathalised.? Surely then you are preventing vaccine rather than waiting for someone who you know,is about to?.if the warning is ignored then they deserve all they get.
