many many years! since I was a kid
back in the 70s my dad was arrested as he left a night shift and taken to the station. He was accused of running over and killing somebody then fleeing the scene. When they got to the details bit, the date, the time and the car, he explained he had sold the car 2 days before the incident. He was bailled and released pending further investigations at 5am. He went straight back to fetch his car, then drove directly to the house of the guy he sold the car to. He rang the doorbell and as the guy answered the door all dishevelled, dad drew back his arm to punch him in the face. With that 2 big police officers grabbed him and said "thankyou for showing us where he is, we will take it from here"
you couldn't make it up, like a corny film script but absolutely true

Ps Just checked our account £4.97 and at £2.00 a crossing now I'm never going to get my 97p back.
You could always cancel the account and then you'll get a full refund, then just open up a new one - this is a pdf about it - the alignment of the specific paragraphs is wrong so it makes it look like the 'cancellation' bit refers to paragraph 9.1 g. (when they can terminate your account for breaches etc) but it doesn't.

9.2 You may terminate this Agreement on 30 days’ notice to us either in writing, by telephone or online via the Website.

9.6 If the final statement indicates that your Account is in credit, we shall, at the same time as sending the statement referred to in clause 9.5 above, make a refund to you for a sum equivalent to the credit balance in your Account.
