Parked on a cliff top at Durness and the wind is rocking us about a bit 😬 people are getting their awnings in and we’ve decided not to try and get the polar screen on, which seems to be the same as most others here.

You're showing as mid 20mph over night, so not too bad. I hope it's not too annoying for your sleep and you enjoy your trip.

Not trying to 'Top Trump' you or anything, but I'm off to Stonehaven again this weekend and this is tomorrows weather..... Wind speed in the mid 50mph....... Now, that'll be interesting and definitely no awning will be out tomorrow!!.

View attachment 499087Trump away, it’s not pleasant listening to everything creak in this wind, it’s going to be a long noisy night here, good luck with your trip to Stonehaven 😬

I was surprised to read this morning that HMS Queen Elizabeth and a few other members of the group had legged it back to Devonport instead of carrying on with the sabre rattling exercise. Putin must be cacking it now.

Tell me about it, we're in Newquay and I've had to park the scooter on the mat to stop it blowing away, also put the grey water bucket through the bike lock or that would be gone 🙄

When you see how easy vans come apart on the motorway 😳 I'm hoping the top and sides don't blow away 😂

Returned to take on stores prior to a global deployment.

we are sat in our conservatory, newly finished (almost) but by god, its windy, rainy and glorious .... only wish we had a motorhome to sit in and enjoy the climate ....

I had a sailing trip planned this coming weekend. Poole to Bucklers Hard (new forest). Much toooo windy. So stay at home and try to go in a week or so.

Off to St Abbs Head tomorrow for a cliff top walk to see the Head ... but then again ... a coffee in one of the little cafes in the village to help out the local economy might be a safer option .

On site at Dingwall
It's somewhat drafty
Someone across the site still with an awning out or it was before it got dark
Looks like a reading day tomorrow
Stay safe folks
This is the main downside of having to book in advance
Still good to get the van out though

We've had to move off the beach road in Stonehavon - OK now. Thisle doo.

Only been back in bricks a few weeks after six years on the road .
Just went outside for a ciggie and was shocked its blowing a hoolie. Didn't even know it was windy outside .

We’re on the opposite side to you, near Mevagissy. We’ve taken our awning down, it’s blowing more than a Hooley.60+ mph, 4 adults and 3 dogs in a 7.5mtr van. Cosy😳

Here in St David’s Pembrokeshire it was 65mph most of yesterday. All night it felt like we were in aircraft with bad turbulence. Today 55 and reducing to 40 ish - hopefully.

Durness lovely , nothing wrong in bad weather

We are on the CMC site at Brixham. Right on top of the hill. 60+ mph winds. Got the hydraulic legs down and it’s still rocking!

Got back from Buxton a few days ago. We were going to go to West Wales…….but we’re holding off.

I can see our van rocking on the drive and a lively stream of water running down our road. 🤷‍♂️

Is the scooter still there or has it blown away overnight?
Still there, not even blown over. Mind you it is a Honda 👌😁

Still hammering it down and very windy. If we ever come all this way again for a UK 'holiday' it will be too soon. We could have done all this in Bolsover, worse than lockdown. East coast or nothing in future.

Edit: or Benidorm 🤩

You couldn’t cover up that view anyway, it’s too good!
