Hi all, this is my first post and I’m new to the Motorhome world.

I bought my first van a Leica ecovip 200i 2001 a couple days ago and drove it back 250 miles. It’s based on a iveco daily chassis

I have noticed when turning right the van feels nice and level but when turning left the right suspension seems to dip.

I did think maybe a new leaf spring and shock but had a good look under the arch and have found something concerning which I think might need welding.

How bad is this?

Thanks, karl

I can’t identify exactly what it is but it certainly doesn’t look pretty.

Hard to work out from the pictures but it looks like an MOT fail as it is within 12 inches of a structural component I think looking at the photos

It has a 11 month ticket on it, initially it failed with a long list highlighting several issues, nothing in relation to this, but was then retested at same place a week later and passed. I would have presumed if it was to have a dodgy ticket then why would they bother to fail first time round.

Gonna get it checked out tomorrow, I’m expecting a bit of welding but fingers crossed it’s nothing too disastrous.

I’ll also try and get some better pics on here. They are a bit close up.
