We are in Spain and last night had drinks with German friends in their van. They showed us a great product that has extended their capacity to stay off-grid for longer; a toilet adaptor/collector/bag set-up.

Here is a link to the product supplier. It is a German company that seems to supply to most of Europe but not the UK.

It seems like an elegant solution for when black waste dumps are unavailable.

And the full bags can be dangled at head height from trees along footpaths providing endless fun for spectators. (Actually, the last sentence is meant to be humourous.)

Anything analogous available?

Made me laugh too!!!

Note sure about putting a bag full of turd in the waste bin. I would certainly be confused when confronted with recycling bin options. :cautious:

That’s quite useful. I guess buy one when you’re travelling in Europe if they don't sell to UK.

Warning ! another toilet thread in progress

Use cling film in the bowl to catch the solids then bag it and bin it.
what you will find the liquid fills cassette.
If you dont put paper into the cassette then it can be emptied discreetly if need arises.

As for poo in bins, I guess you don’t have a dog of any size, or you don’t pick up!

The good old bucket & chuckit toilet, quarter filled with cat litter? 🤔

We carry a pack of these just in case we find that both of our cassettes are full and there is nowhere appropriate to empty. Not so far needed to use them. They do deal with both solids and liquids.

And a bag of wine.....(catalogue)

Cheers🍻

2nd cassette is our preferred option. Rarely used but there if needed and stored in a stealth M&S bag for life for discrete public loo emptying when needed😂

By the way i can‘t see what‘s “Fertig“ about crapping into a bag, more bags for landfill unless they are degradable ones ?

There‘s also the famous system that vacuums it‘s contents after they arrive, wouldn‘t want to mix up my Bury black pudding with one of those bags, Andouillette version 2.0 i fear😂

Put a sieve in the toilet pan. Fluids run through and solids are stored for your enjoyment. You can then bag/fling/sell on, or anything you want.

Personally I will stick with emptying my cassette every couple of days.

Northenraider has been doing this for years and defends it by saying no different to dog poo.

The money saver and fettler in me says a cheap plastic chopping board or piece of acrylic sheet cut to fit in the loo and also a cheap plastic bowl would be easy enough to make and no great expense lost if didn't prove to be a practical proposition in use.

Regarding the suggestion of a sieve perhaps a collander would be better suited to some funsters who create a large amount of cr@p. 😄

I think we'll stick with our spare cassette and 2 pee bottles for hubby!

How about one of these to take with you into the woods?
Even somewhere for the loo roll!

I think that a black bin liner under the seat and over the loo will achieve the same outcome for next to nowt.

Strewth ... How much do you produce in one s*itting! 🙃

Luckily I have a decent sized black tank and a marine toilet, but, surely the solution is advertised on TV all the time?

Tena ladies and gents pants, you won’t even need to visit the bathroom, as you ‘Go on the go’ and continue Yoga, shopping or sneezing’

I don't know if anyone remembers the Aqualizer produced by German firm HRZ Reisemobile about 13 years ago.

It was basically a mini waste treatment plant for motorhomes and boats, it takes all the toilet wastes, grinds them all down and treats it then all waste can go into the grey water holding tank for easy one step disposal.

Don't think it caught on and was probably too expensive....
