Is it me - font?

The font on here seems to have changed. Have I done something to cause this or has it been altered? I now have words with characters that have an odd spacing. Some seem further apart yet others are running into each other! It all seems more 'spindley' too. Is there a way of setting the font?

It's your eyes, looks fine to me except you have gone blue.

Click on the 6th icon ( one before the paper clip and choose the font you like)

Whilst these suggestions do affect the font for sending messages all other messages (the ones I am reading) remain as I described. The font I am typing with has the odd spacing even though the size is altered.This is strange.
