bailey autograph 796
ive just installed a 280ah lithium battery and was after some recomendation for an inverter also got the bog standard 100w solar panel on the roof of my bailey autograph would like to add more i have an mppt 75/15 victron thanks

You need to decide why you want an inverter.

Our 300 watt pure sign wave is fine for what we want. Charging computer, toothbrushes, etc.
But would be no use if you want to run an air fryer or microwave.

First thing you will be limited to the amount of draw you can take at any one time from your battery

Look up Studer inverters, they are very efficient, our AJ275 (275w) only takes 0.2 amps on standby 👌

possible air fryer or microwave/ toaster/charging mobiles /drone/toothbrushes /also tv would be nice

What are you going to use it for how much are you going to use .IE Afew mins at high output or maybe an hour flat out .Your battery will probably have a 200amp BMS so a 2000w inverter will suffice if you want that .uch

You'll probably need a 2kw inverter for a microwave. That's a massive drain on the batteries, about 125 amps 🤔

So air fryer is biggest load 2000w pure sine wave...the other thing to consider is power it uses when not doing much...I hav 2 X 2000w
One uses4 times more power when it's doing nothing than the other.A lot like Renogy for a good all round mid budget inverter with or without pass through or victron

And putting in a bigger one than is needed will potentially just waste the off load power consumption, which for a larger jobby may be 1amp, which over 24hrs starts to be noticeable, small ones will use much less....

Very true .As I said above one of mine uses 350mw ( it is on 24/7 running the fridge freezer) the other only on for air fryer/ microwave 1.5 ah overhead...used to run fridge freezer from a 600w it was aroun 500mw( more than the 2kw)

Sunshine Solar UK supply good units with remote and cabling to/from battery.

We purposely ordered a reduced wattage (500) microwave that also has soft start - Kitchenwareonline who do them for truckers - so as not to hit the battery too hard even though it's Lithium.

Our std microwave draws around 60ah,the air fryer ( oven type) 95ah..on and off every min or so as thermostat cuts in and out

My edecoa type c pro used for mwave airfryer hairdryer with remote was £114 when I bought it a year ago now £180 (had a look inside ) nicely made very well assembled..but has 1 1/2 amp overhead so not ideal to leave on 24 hrs day

Renogy 2000 or 3000 with ups switch has w9rked a treat for me with microwave, airfreight, induction hob for a few years now
Have to say I like Renogy had a few 48v and 12v solar controllers and a 30 a B2B with mppt and now a 50a all well built but I notice they are getting a fair bit higher in the price scale.Like the new mini battery 100ah about a quarter the size of lipo but £1000
