Could any of you experts tell me where I could find a wiring diagram or video or any guidance how to connect a 2500W inverter into the mains circuit correctly. I did it years ago on a Hymer 700 and it tried to charge it's own batteries but the solution was simple I unpluged the 240V feed. but I would not want that happening again

Fitted a simple 2 pole changeover switch on ours. Before changing over I trip all the trips except sockets as a precaution if anything gets switched on.
The centre position is all off so it's very safe

Some put auto changeovers on but I like to choose what to use. Also I don't want a contactor humming away all day and night.
