I’ve read through previous posts and can’t find a similar issue.

5 week old PVC has developed a problem with the kitchen tap or to be more accurate the water pump.

The tap/water pump works 50% of the time.
The toilet and shower work fine, 100% of the time.
After discovering the pump isn’t kicking in for the kitchen tap I run the shower for 1-2 seconds and turn it off. If I then try the kitchen tap the pump kicks in.
The problem is the same for hot and cold water.
I’m guessing there is only one pump that feeds all 3 outlets?

I‘ve had look (not that I know what I’m looking for) and jiggled a cable a few times. Based on a previous thread I’ve run the kitchen tap and shower on low pressure for 5 minutes but no change.

Just leaving a site and will be driving for a few hours, apologies for not responding during this time.

Many thanks

I suspect It's a faulty micro switch in the kitchen tap. There's only one pump pumping directly from the tank or through the hot water boiler.

It's 5 weeks old.....warranty.
Let the dealer sort it
Agree entirely but it’s good to know what the problem might be. Someone might say give the hows your father a whack and it’ll be sorted.

Hi. I have developed the same problem. Did you find out what the problem and solution are?

Unfortunately not. We’re still in Europe so haven’t had a chance to drop it off for the warranty work. However it seems to have improved overtime and it rarely happens at the moment (it‘ll play up now I’ve said that). Funnily enough, well there’s nothing funny about it, the same tap has now developed a drip. This goes on for a few hours then stops, drives me mad! I’ve also noticed that the bathroom tap pressure is considerably better than the kitchen tap.
Hope you get it sorted, keep me informed as I will you.

Well my was a very simple fix!! I haven’t got a micro switch in my tap. I literally unscrewed the end of the tap (where the water comes out) and it was blocked. Gave it a clean and now working fine.

Great news!

Great, hope it stays fixed. If it happens again, it could be a filter breaking up and sending bits along the pipe, so they get trapped at the end of the tap.
