So who will cover vans in the £150k to £300k bracket if NFU are sticking to their policy of making Croatia and Morocco “third party only”

We are currently with SAGA and their standard Maximum value is £75k they could be persuaded to go a bit higher with a call to their underwriters but not much higher according to the girl on the phone.

Don’t know the answer to this but might be worth a phone call to a Travelworld to speak to one of the sales guys and asking where his customers get insurance for their £150k + vans.

Spoke to a friend of mine.
Recommeded nfu for value but they won't insure all areas.
What about cmc or ccc?

If your van is over £150,000

You got the money to take a private security force with you!!

Helicopters, drones to see the road in front, whatever!! Lol

You are right Sue, that’s where all this started, they don’t cover Croatia of all places, good premium though;)

Hi Martin,
You are covered for Croatia with the nfu.
This is the back of my insurance certificate showing country coverd.2B8918F5-2076-4085-A4F5-B2076447D7C0.jpeg
Only third party!!!!! Which looking at your Avatar would be a risk not worth taking? Certainly is for me and others I suspect, so Martin started this thread which I hope will elicit a short list.

Have you checked?

No, admittedly, I haven't specifically asked that question. I'm basing my comment on recent experience with them when changing our vehicle. They had an issue with the mileage we wanted to do per annum and also the value of the vehicle. We went with NFU who had no such qualms.

I think its a case of going to the insurers and asking is the question "cant or wont" Everything has a price it's just the premium may be excessive. I would make them ring their underwriters and get a cost first. Having just spent about £50 today for simply changing my policy from the Rapido to the N&B get it right at the onset it at all possible.
