I’m newbie
There is a warning from royal veterinary to say the next few days will be hot so don’t walk dogs or at least not far as lots of dogs are suffering with heat stroke,
I’m sure everyone is aware of this just thought it maybe worth mentioning 👍

Walkies... !

Nah... can't be bothered :whistle2:

Common sense suggests not in the heat of the day, check the temperature of any tarmac, paving.
Be guided by your hound.

No dog ever died from not going on a walk.

Also do it very early or very late.

Tarmac gets very very hot, it will burn pads 😳

Yeap. Bedroom aircon been on all night for my big Bernese. Have a standalone aircon in the van also - just for him.
We tend to wet him down during the middle of the day. He's not keen on getting in water, but loves a hose down when it's hot.
And yet, tarmac can get very hot and can burn dogs paws.

Dogs haven't been for a proper walk for 3 days due to the heat. Today is overcast though still warm so might risk the woods this morning.(no tarmac, we drive there.)
Hot tarmac can be a problem. Meg had a burnt paw in France a few years back needing a vet visit.
