Has the van had a low battery condition when trying to start it ?
Also check there is a good earth bond between chassis and engine.
 
thank you for your reply yes battery was low when starting attempt i then fully charged battery thats when the problem started and van will not start.

Proly corrupted the ecu ... sorry ;)
Do you know anyone with a proper scan tool ( not one of the cheaper ones, but one of the pucka £1000'ish ones ) ?
Might be able to sort it... but the good(ish) news is that pre-owned ECU's are pretty cheap, though you will proly need that scan tool to reset a replacement if you are not extremely lucky
