Tidying up the garage at home and counted 9 blue IKEA bags and there is another 2 in the loft, can anyone beat it.

We've started throwing them out as they are used for garden rubbish and after many years get tattered and torn. Must have had at least a couple of dozen over the years and found a brand new one last month.

Sorry, I have never been to Ikea, as there is not a store within about 50 miles. Can't say if I am missing anything. Is it good?

IKEA was great in the 80's in Sweden the only place that had them but the modern international version is a nightmare.
I went in one in France couple of years ago I managed to escape , a door was open in a warehouse storage area so I made a getaway via their stores. :giggle:

Used to use the bags when #2 son ran x-country, Chuck all stuff in the bag, spikes kit towels etc. Bring home fill bag with water and leave for a few hrs to soak.
Use 1 now in MH to keep boots and shoes in.
Their plates are a great copy of correlle.

Once a year is about what most folks can stand without losing their minds. But as a Swede I have to say IKEA certainly improved massively since the 80s and 90s, quality wise. And a hot dig @ around 50p isn't too bad after being dragged around, looking at cheap-ish cutlery and towels for what feels like half a day..

Always love the IKEA kitchen ware bazaar section. I always find the wind up egg timers and set them to ring in batches - half a dozen in 10mins,half a dozen more in 9 mins, etc etc. (make sure you twist them right round to 59mins,then back off to your trigger time so you get a full ring). Mrs. B. says it's childish, but makes I laugh!

I first went to them in the late 60s and they were a complete revelation after UK stores. In the 70s we drove a Ford Cortina Estate over up to Stockholm, and completely filled the load space and piled up the roof rack, with IKEA furniture and furnishings for the children’s bedrooms.

Have you worked out how to put it together yet.
