New electrical standards have been issused which come into force January 2019 for caravans and motorhomes.
I've searched high and low for a copy of the relevant section 721.
Does anybody have a copy they could share here please?

Sorry but no, however I did notice that our new Hymer that is to a UK spec including 3 pin sockets has a normal 3 pin socket in the bathroom - above the sink and within reach of the shower. Is that to current standards?

For a motorhome..... Perfectly acceptable evidently.
For a house.... Not a chance in hell.

would it be because you are not earthed ie tyres?

I have a pdf copy of the 18th Edition I can email you, or was there a particular part of teh section you wanted ... like, for instance, the bit that's going to catch a whole load of motorhomers / tuggers out with their tightly wound EHU leads ? :roflmto:

If at all possible, I would like a copy of the relevant section, Caravans and Motorhomes, section 721.

if you have time you could upload the section as a PDF file to this thread or to the forum resources.. it would be most appreciated and no doubt useful for others.

thanks

Motorhomes and tourer caravans came under the 17th Edition EU reg on wiring installations section 721 in 2008.

Not heard of anything in the pipeline myself but PIR tests have been rumoured for a number of years .
