idmedia tv only getting BBC

Hi

What am I doing wrong

Have two TV’s, Avtex fine after tuning only missing ITV

idmedia scans 300+ channels but they are all BBC and CBBC from every region of the country

Both scanned on Astra 2E F G

Why do I only get BBC channels ?

Not sorted, gave up, might be something simple I will play around with it again at some point. Will probably swop it for another Avtex as not impressed with idmedia !!

Same issue full scan of Astra 2 which I am informed covers Astra 28.2 frequency go 277 so called channels all of which are BBC and CBBC and on the bottom right it shows on all channels as Astra A4 any help out there please sort this

Afternoon all,

I have an Avtex channel list that I could send out that may help. I'm not 100% sure but I've seen this before a few times and I think that the transponder list in the TV may be corrupted. Not all Avtex TV's can be updated by the list that I have but if you check the following you'll be able to find out.

Turn TV on in satellite mode
Press TV setup
Select the picture of the satellite
Select Advanced setup
Code 0000

Once in the bottom option will either be "Easyfind" or "channel"
If it's the easyfind option the software is too old and you'll need to contact Avtex directly but if it says channel then you can update the whole list via USB. Just email me anthony@oystersat-tech.co.uk and I can send the file over.

Oh and if it's the newer Avtex TV they have a completely different menu structure and a different way of loading the list so bet best would again be to contact Avtex directly.

Hi Antony you seem to be discussing the issue with regard to an Avtex TV whereas the Tv we have is an iDMedia with a Zen Rad Sat Dish fitted to French van. Would the fix be the same process do you know.

I've seen the same problem on Camos and Alphatronics so it's not just Avtex that have it but unfortunately Avtex is the only one I have a channel list on a USB for. What I've done for the others is delete all the transponder settings from the TV and then repopulate from a website called kingofsat.net. After that when I've done a scan everything has scanned in without an issue. Afraid I'm not familiar with the iDMedia though.

Hi Barney, we are new to this site and not sure if we correctly sent a message to you regarding your TV, which we have the exact same issue. Did you manage to fix yours? Sorry if you have this twice as not sure whether our first message was sent correctly
