We got the last space at Bruges Aire at lunchtime today. Not the best spot 😉

My van always looks really narrow in photos 🤷

You used (pre covid) to be able to park behind the coach terminal on the coach park, was quiet after 6pm, bob into the terminal and ask

Apparently you have to take a 50euro bus ticket to get into the bus area and hope someone will be in the office to change it to a camper ticket before you leave. There's been no one in there since we arrived so it's a bit of a risk?

It's a means to an end really. It's not a campsite it's just overnight parking that's close enough to walk into Bruges. Camping Memling, the only other close place is full.

I would have emptied and filled and moved on.

I have stayed overnight like this on the odd occasion and at one time l too wouldn’t have even considered it but now it doesn’t bother me, even had some good nights socialising as it’s pretty impossible not to, needs must and a couple of Sherberts and it all feels a lot better.

I couldn't even contemplate that as part of my holiday. It's a car park. I don't understand how the French think it's acceptable, even for one night. It's just awful.

We have stayed on the Aire in Bruges in winter. Wasn’t so busy but, even so, I don’t remember the spaces being so narrow.

When we went to Spain, in April, we spent our first night on a site near Santander. It wasn’t much better and probably charged a lot more.

We were there last October and it was probably half full, however the area at the end that is for vans over 8m and have a lot wider spaces were mostly taken by small vans🤬🤬

Would not stay on the small spaces if the larger ones were taken
