The 900 was enormous but what a quality build, it does look like one but hard to tell from the photo.

Great stuff, please let me know if you find out what it is, love the old Hymers.
Was going to buy a Hymer 900 years ago but it had been messed about with too much and condition poor.

It is a 900 and is owned by Justin who specialises in vintage furniture. It is very beautiful inside.

We were there last night - maybe 15 vans or so, including the aforementioned beast. I wonder why it's still there - Cite Europe is useful but not glamorous.

If that’s Justin’s, then he’s got a new trailer!
Saw him again at Canterbury this winter!

If I remember rightly, he told me that it was originally made for the boss of BMW who was the Hymer bosses mate at that time!

I may have posted pics of it on my thread?

It’s a lovely size!

Your profile suggests you are an Essex A128 dweller, if so we are too, only we're right down the bottom on the river, not in the posh bit like you :LOL::LOL:

Since May 05 (Ex Tuggers).
A few years ago when in Germany on the Mosel, we met a Yorkshire couple with an S820.
When I said that I thought it was a beauty, he commented that he'd rather have had the build quality we had in our old 99 model Hymer. He came from an engineering background. ;)

We saw Justin at the Canterbury P&R last year, but I didn't see him out and about, so never got the chance to speak with him. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)

True. Up to about 1991 they were built for quality. After that they were built to price and the quality of the building materials for the inside fell dramatically.

They’re pretty much collectors’ items now. Even the smaller ones are shooting up in price. I’ve got a 1987 550s and have just been offfered 15k for it - much to my surprise.
