Have not bought one yet.
Guys I will be purchasing a motorhome in the near future and whilst it will be myself mainly maybe 2 at most some of the time. I quite like the mercedes quality hence my liking the Hymer Starline 640. I was also looking at the Pilote Reference 640. I want a vehicle of A class quality with everything. Must be rhd, cab ac, 3.5 ton and integrated body style. Dont mind spending between 20 and 30k for a vehicle thats well looked after with everything first class. Would welcome the views of seasoned members.

I have a Hymer 680 starline brilliant bit of kit, 2.7 Mercedes .
Just looking at a 640 and the payload is a bit tight, check you could manage with it.

You'll be struggling to stay under 3.5t with that choice without compromising payload.

Agreed. I may be out of date but my rule of thumb for the weight of an aircon unit is between 30 and 50kg.
