Enjoyed the movie and curious as to the model Hymer they used, Looked early 1990s and Petrol?
When did they stop making petrol hymers?

im sure one of the hymer experts will have a definite date but i would think like most vans they stopped doing diesel as a stock line around 1998/2000 as at that time diesel was the good fuel and taxed lower than petrol We saw a petrol hymer built on a transit chassis at odur sur glan 3 years ago that was an early eighties model

don't know what age this one is but it's on an Opel, or that's what the badge says;)

No Mercedes based. Had Mercedes badge on the front. Is 303 the Merc base chassis number,?

Did some googling and tge movie title is thr bus chassis made by mercedes from 1974 until 92. Does not explain tge lack of diesel noise. It may been diesel but atno stage during the movie did you hear a rattle. It was good to see a classic hymer featured in a movie..

I think it WAS diesel. They deleted the racket!!!!

Is it possible that a 1964 S660 Mercedes Hymer was petrpl and if so what engine did they use?

If you zoom in on the badge it's the Opel 'Blitz'/ 'lightening' logo
