Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
The 2.2 unit is a very strong unit & economical to boot. I've had a Sprinter for over three years now & apart form an EGR valve it has been faultless.

I have the 2.2 manual engine my weight is above 3.5 (C1 required) and drives very well gets to 70 or more easy on motorway and good going up hills, what more would you want from a German engine

From 2005 -2011 and 2018 -
We have had a look at it - just to check out the lay-out rather than with a serious view to buying. It does have a scuff or two externally, and the bathroom plug/waste appears to have an issue and they have put some perspex on the ledge below the sink waste. Having said that, I could have been persuaded to part with my cash.

Thanks to you all. @ambulancekidd -good to know you find it economical as well as powerful. What sort of mpg might it get- I suspect I have a fairly average R foot..?
Thanks @MotorhomeMart for the feedback on the actual van. I always find photos only tell half the story (and sometimes a different story ) and its a good 2 hours for us to drive down. Chelstons are meant to be ok I've heard.
