is it worth using a private company to do a HPI check or will .Gov give the same information for free?

since 2006 ( I think ! )
And if recent experience of another Funster is anything togo by its all a waste of time and money any way.
If the vehicle is a ringer ( false plates and swapped chassis number ) then doing an HPI check covers you for absolutely nothing

Your right there jaws, after looking at the terms and conditions on the HPI checks there are so many ways they can duck and dive out of the £30.000.00 guarantee if they give false information,

The one and only original "HPI" is who the trade use, the biggest failures are caused by not completing the details requested AFTER you purchase. this is vital, and is often forgotten due to the fact excitement take over from common sense, HPI usually charge the public circa £30

But of course your going to get a much better service and protection from the check my car.com phone app at £1.99, NOT:rolleyes:
