Yeap brought a V70 from them many years ago.

Been there for donkeys years.

Went too look at a caravelle 4 years ago for £22k.

One of the most reputable dealers in West Yorkshire.

Are you traveling far?

Cheers James

We're in Southampton - will probably look for a local agent to view initially but your recommendation of their reputation helps enormously. Thanks

I lived in woolston / then Shirley for 6 years!

Wife trained at Southampton general.

They’re about 5 miles from us.
They’ve been there for years and sell a mixture of cars, vans and campervans with the odd few Motorhomes.
It’s a small garage right on a bad bend.
They used to have a large shed opposite with the Motorhomes in but not sure if they still have it as new housing has gone up recently.
My brother bought a camper van from them once.
They’re reputable.
If you can wait until Wed or Thurs I can nip in and video the van for you and send it to you if you like?

That is fantastically kind - and yes, I have asked for a call tomorrow to ask about the payload left after extras were fitted (solar, bike rack and awning for instance) and to get a rough ball park on px.
The van is :

2019 WEINSBERG CARALOFT 650 MF with 6800 on the clock

It will be interesting to note the general condition and your gut feeling
Thank you again

and where are you now?
Baildon 10 miles north east of Denholme.

We have some good friends who live on the Winchester rd. He lived up here as a child not far from Denholme!

Cheers James

Nice van, kitchen small if that bothers you?

Keep Right On
Good morning.
As promised, I called into Hoyles for you this morning on the way home from work.
They have two sites and a chap called Nick took me to the site where your potential motorhome was stored.
Nick, who was really helpful and accommodating, told me that they had sold this motorhome to the customer from new. The customer was a regular of theres and he believed that the only reason for sale was to raise funds towards a house.
He said that it would be valeted and come with a service and warranty.
I had a look around it and took some photos for you.
It was in very good condition and I could not find any marks inside.
There were a few things that I noticed outside, (I'm nit picking as I'm really particular and if it was me buying, I'd want to know) but nothing that couldn't be sorted and also, to be expected for a second hand van:
There was a stone chip in the paint on the front bonnet - may polish in with a colour polish. No dint, just top paint coat off in 3 small white spots.
The near side rear side orange reflector was scraped. - Bodywork and panel was unaffected. Again, being very picky. You'd have to really inspect it closely to notice. If it mattered, you could just buy a new reflector.
On the rear panel behind the bike rack, there was two marks. It looked like grey paint.
I'm sure that these may come off. - I can't see that it's hiding something because if so, it'd have been done in white paint.
It was a nice motorhome and looked cared for.
I would not have any hesitation in buying from them if I was in the market for another van and they was selling.
I don't have any allegiance to Hoyles other than my brother once bought a VW camper van from them. They seemed decent enough and are reputable.
I didn't look in the garage locker or under the bonnet etc. or start the engine.
I hope that this is of some help to you.
cheers
Gavlad

What a great detailed post, nice van too well done GAVLAD
we have a similar mark on our rear marker, done by the ride on mower at a site we will never go back to.

We bought a second hand Land Rover from them when we were tuggers and they fixed a fault under warranty with no issue and lent us a curtesy car very good company to deal with just the parking on that bad bend!!

Great pictures very nice looking van.

They used to have a large shed opposite the bad bend garage but that’s now gone and it’s all housing.
I met the guy at the garage and then had to follow him a mile down the road where they now have some units on an industrial estate. They all seemed decent and not the usual hovering over and hands rubbing together type.
With any luck, it will help the OP decide whether the 400mile round trip is worthwhile.

So what else do they sell noticed 2 sdkfz 221/222 armoured cars (reproductions?) in the background of the 19th? photo any tanks?😀i suppose parking is easy if you drive up in a chieftain nobody is going to argue if you’re outside the lines😀

It was an industrial estate with multi occ use. I don't think they are to do with the garage.

Gavlad - what can I say? Thank you, thank you and thank you. You have gone above and beyond to help out. I never expected that sort of detail or the time you must have spent (in the rain by the look of it)
The post is incredibly informative and will certainly enable us to decide whether it's for us. I don't suppose Hoyles mentioned whether there was any other interest yet? My gut feeling is it is reasonably priced even allowing for the minor scuffs etc and certainly a van of interest. When I did speak to them earlier in the week, the only downside was a likely px of only £33k for our 1 year old Elddis Accordo 105 - roughly a £10k hit in a year but could be a reflection of the Weinsberg price.
Anyway, thank you once again . What fantastic people Funsters are!

He didn’t say about any other interest.
He did say that it had only recently come in and that they’ve not had chance to valet and give it the once over. He said that they had sold it originally to the current owner and that the owner was a regular. So they’ll know the history of it. They do in house servicing so it’s probably been looked after by them too.
My advice if you’re interested is to have a ring round other dealers to see what they’d give you for yours. Get an average and then you can make a judgement as to whether any difference of value is worth the difference in hassle.
And you are welcome!
I’m pleased I could help in some way.
Let us know how you get on.

I'm just gobsmacked from the photos that they apparently haven't valeted it yet. The only quick visual scan thing I noticed to indicate 'pre loved' to me was the fact that the cream mattress covers were not exactly aligned to the edges of the mattresses.

I think a lot of dealers give vans a quick once over when they’re stood outside and only give it the full works once it’s sold. I suppose if people are walking in and out and touching surfaces, they’ll just wait on and tell the buyer it will come with a full valet.
