How can I order online and get post deliveries on the move? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

As Im stuck in Portugal for a while, i want to order things like brake pads, an oil filter and some LED lights etc. I can order them on ebay or amazon or whatever, but does anyone have tips or suggestions how I can get it posted. Im travelling up the Algarve and never normally in a place more than 1-2 days.

Is there click and collect?are there anypost companies that allow you to get it posted to them and then you pick it up?Not sure how I others will be able to manage in the medium term now that more or less everything is closed.

I thought Amazon would only deliver to the address on the account.... IE.. Registered address.

I've never used Amazon's delivery / collection points before but have seen lots of Amazon lockers lately. You can collect your orders from lots of small shops or lockers when on the move and its worth reading up about it on their website.

I found this site, may help others in future. Although amazon talked about global shipping points etc, their log in process takes you to a dark hole. Well on the advice of the above link I think amazon is my only realistic option.

How’s the atmosphere at Turiscampo?? We stay there over winter each year and always very busy, is it still busy? Have they started the new extension campsite next door yet?

Only essential journeys allowed (ie. goino to work, shopping for essentials and medical trips etc). Or of course, the sensible option of returning to the U.K. ( directly!)

look on the Coronavirus Portugal thread for the conditions imposed by the state of emergency here now?

I don’t know what the penalties are, but expect to be stopped by the GNR and asked, and they carry guns ?
