just joined this site,we built our own camper a transit minibus conversion back in 99 followed by a c class talbot which was a constant work in progress we now have a 2004 boxer which we have just converted. we have eventually just completed a europe tour in the boxer but after getting home the gearbox gave up £900 later we are running again.we have been married 30 years and are up to the 50 and over age bracket. our children are grown ups and now we are looking forward to our next trip.

was the failed gearbox the usual water getting in when it runs off the scuttle into a badly positioned drain

just generally worn out 114000 for a commercial box should have been nothing but there was some signs of water ingress.
gearlink very local gearbox rebuilders to us know these boxes inside out and fully rebuilt, totally new inside in two days.would recommend them to anyone.
