The good news is we booked our ferry with a firm called Nutt travel . Rang on Sunday Office closed. But leave a message if urgent. Left message About Rose breaking both arms. As we were due to sail tonight. They rang straight back ,and said they would see what they could do. They rang back this morning and told me my booking Portsmouth to Spain has been put back untill 30th Sept. But if we can go earlier they will try to help me. And no charge. I know is does not sound much, but someone who helps that quick and helpfull , really helps in trying times.

Thanks Debs , She is doing well. You are right Trying to do most things. But getting her dressed And putting her bra on for I really quite good fun. Trying to work out how he can shower with both arms in plaster. any suggestions . The poor girl only had one drink. So now keeping fingers crossed to get to Portugal this year.

Thanks ,scousebird . Yes Helen Rose is feeling better, Still a long way to go. But the travel company has helped out. We should be on the ferry tonight. But hoping for end of September. Hope all is well with you and yours.

My sister in law had a fall a few years ago & broke both wrists, as she was on her own she ended up having to get carers in for everything, quite a difficult situation for her. Good that you are having a bit of fun getting to grips with things

I think Marg ended up using some sort of waterproof sleeves & a shower stool.

Bin bags are your friend when you have one or two limbs in plaster casts. And - make her an appointment at her hairdressers for them to either simply wash and blow-dry her hair, or whatever she'd like done there.

It is fun for me. But poor Rose is getting upset. She can't do much at all. But we are getting there.
