Since 1996, had Elddis/Swift/Rapido/Rimor/Chausson MHs. Autocruise/Globecar PVCs/Compactline i-138
The tank is in the same position as you describe but the way Hymer have plumbed it in there is no kink to date we have not used a ‘naked’ pipe. I can see how that would work though.
I've just had a shuftie at some images (as I like to get to the bottom of stuff :giggle: ) and it looks like the filler for yours is a bit more forward than that of the Globecar and a different type too, so maybe that's why yours doesn't have the same issue:

Thats an interesting comparison I wonder if they are using different tanks? I think if that was the position in ours it may also produce a kink our inlet pipe just curves straight down into the tank, with the Globecar and the type of tank we have would require two curves one to the right and then one down to the tank.
