As some of you may know I am up at Durness, very limited Vodafone signal, but option for highland wifi paid for internet access

Connected via my iBoost had a few teething troubles quickly sorted by text

Disconnected mains hook earlier tonight to turn MH into the wind, lost internet connection

Sent highland wifi a text in the hope they might help, they spent the next hour testing their end and resetting routers, now back on line

I have only paid £20 for unlimited access for a week, to get that much support was a real surprise and pleasure, they appear to have several access points up here in Scotland thought they deserved a plug

On and off for many years.
Wish we could get it here in the Borders. Our connection speed is abysmal.

There is a scheme for connecting "not-spots" (mobile phone black spots) via wifi....... great scheme except that you need a base connection speed of at least 4mbs..... on a good day we get 2.

David I think the cost for highland wifi may depend on the site as the site we were on at Fortwilliam used them and was form memory £10 day or £40 for a week
But you certainly got good service from them

Thanks for that PPJ

I am pretty sure I can take my code with me to any other access point

Shame it is nowhere near you Mrs PD the annual rate is not that bad for decent speed and no commitment
