Hi I have a Prostor awning on motor home and one of the extending arms has sheared from main front bar. Has anybody had this problem and can it be fixed.

Has the arm snapped or is it just that the connecting joint has failed?
Generally, everything can be fixed if you can get replacement bits.
A photo is needed to identify exactly what has broken and where.

Hi Spriddler the problem is I cant unwind awning at the moment as we just started 2 week holiday and I had a hell of a job getting back. It's like a cast alloy knuckle joint on main front bar under the canvas. I'm going to try and get a photo of one from another motorhome that's on site whennhes back.

Looks like they are made by Dometic so spares are available

No prob. As Speve has mentioned you should be able to get a replacement part from Hill View once you can give them a positive description.
Some websites have exploded parts diagrams and Prostor awnings are now Dometic.

Thanks for advice. I think maybe best to leave it until I get back home to unwind it. Take a few pictures and see where I get from there.
