Happy New Year everyone
We've just completed a 3 night trip in a "try before we buy" hired motorhome and absolutely loved it,met some great people, not all motorhomers. So we can't wait any longer and we're hoping to buy our very own motorhome this month, not really sure which one to get but think a fixed bed would suit us,we've been looking at the newer Bailey ones, would love to hear any opinions or experiences anyone's had with these,we're considering brownhills in Newark as our first port of call.

Welcome. Do as much research as you can and look at many vans first. Not many people get the van and layout they want straight away, sometimes you need to use it in different conditions and places to find what suits. Can't help on Bailey's BUT have to say they often seem to me anyway, to lack storage space on the outside.
I bought 3 in 18 months when we started, started. S/hand and finally a new van when we were happy with layout.

:welcomesign:to the fun of looking, looking, looking for your first van. Don't be rushed by anyone, a salesman is just that, a salesman.
Can't help with a Baileys as I have never owned one, Brownhills used to have a poor reputation but they have improved a lot over the past couple of years.
There are LOTS of vans out there so take your time, autotradermotorhomes on the net have literally thousands of vans to look at, enjoy the hunt.
Norman.

Hello and welcome from West Midlands.

There are lots of motorhome shows on in the area for you to check out including the Caravan & Motorhome show at the NEC next month. Handy for you. (We're in Segley by the way)

We've got a Bailey Approach Autograph 745, had it from new for nearly 3 years. Love it, had a couple of minor problems which were easily sorted. No thoughts of changing it in the near future.
