OK folks, it’s our turn to do a “Guess the Bill meal.
So far we’ve had a pretty frugal trip foodwise. Coming in the van and buying stuff from supermarkets and stuff. Today though was MrsBB’s grandsons second birthday back home so we thought we’d have a blow out lunch locally (I’ll not say where yet)
So it’s a restaurant that’s in the 2019 Michelin guide. We had the three courses a bottle of Cahors wine and coffees to finish. Details as follows:-

B202F482-1A50-4355-AB49-1CB5C4D1DF1A.jpeg

Amuse bouche of various duck bits ?

Starters ...... duck spring roll and smoked salmon for me.....

Main course of beef (SWMBO) and sea bream (moi)

Finally dessert of chocolate mousse and for me raspberries with something on top ?

Coffees and petit four stuff ......

So mes amis, it’s time for ....... guess the bill? ?

Not too far away from you , just east of Gourdon, hiding indoors with the shutters closed today:sun:
I'd hazard a guess at around €120....

That’s pretty good Pete5996 but thankfully OTT a bit. Maybe I got a bargain after all ?

That's reassuring - I might start eating out other than the lunchtime menus.... :giggler:

Its in a wee village called Daglan ...... Le Petit Paris ?

Thanks - Daglan's a very pretty little village. Couple of years since I last went through. I'll get a lottery ticket in town and put the meal on the list... :D

It’s been brilliant so far if not the best ☺️ Still have to figure some kind of route north up through Brittany/Normandy over the next week but meanwhile we’re just enjoying the fab weather here ....... still high 20’s today ?

If you're still in the area tomorrow, and it floats your boat, the agricultural museum at Salviac isn't too far - and worth a visit (y)

?. Now that looks like a potential plan ?....... just got to get it past SWMBO which might be a challenge after the experience of tipping up randomly at an agricultural show on our last visit to France. ?

Thanks for the link Skez If the weather stays as hot as it is here, we’re going to need regular cooling off spots for ? ..... beach access and or rivers. We’re also familiar with places like St Malo, Dinard, Dinan and the Normandy beach landing areas ...... much as I’d like to go back there.
You’ll have noticed on our thread that part of the trip is trying to suss out house purchase possibilities and whilst SWMBO is loving this part of the world ........ and I must admit the area in and around Daglan is awesome, I’m more your upper Normandy, collombage, cider and Camembert kind of guy. We shall see. I think I know who will win eventually ?

As you didn’t reply to my guess the price I looked up the menu now you have said where the restaurant was.

And I was pretty accurate.

A jolly good find I would say.

Without wishing to derail your thread :) I assume you've looked at the residency requirements post "B"? I guess it will be the same as if you were from the US and presumably have to show a minimum level of income and probably pay for medical insurance?

Brittany would be my choice, perhaps the Rose Granit Coast but undoubtedly the weather is better further south. :)

And €90. :)

As for the bill ........ drum roll ?
