Hi All,

I am on my way back home travelling through France only for the front skylight on my Swift Bessacarr decided it wanted to stay and left with no goodbyes.

Anyone know of anywhere I could purchase a replacement urgently?

I have made a temp repair but not sure how long it will last? We have nearly 500 miles to get to the tunnel.

TA Steve

Sorry, can’t help on that but good luck.

When you get back these guys may be able to supply a new one.

Safe travels.

What a nightmare. So far so good, only another 200 mile. If you temp repair gives up , maybe buy a sheet of very thin plastic sheeting (same as green house windows) fro A diy type outlet. You should be able to bend to shape of roof and fix in place with quality duck tape.

Good luck with rest of journey home.

Update. Got back to UK via tunnel. Pitched up near Caterbury ready for the slog back up to the North East. After a few minor adjustments to temp repair hopefully it will hold out? Need to source new skylight as supposed to be away again in 2 weeks time?

Thanks

Well done with a quality temporary repair. Now the real fun starts with sourcing a replacement.
