Help needed !

Hi. Need some help. I have a 2005 Fiat Ducato Autotrail Cheyenne. The lockout ring is sticking when l want to get out of reverse. Any ideas what the problem could be. Thanks

Google sticking gear lever Ducato. There are videos to show where to lube some joints under bonnet. Don't know if it helps you with reverse.

Hi Jev88. I cant seem to find anything that helps on google. The gears are fine when selecting, its just the lockout ring when you want to deselect reverse. It will not spring back down. Thanks

Reverse gear on Fiat Ducato 2.8. 2006

Finding it increasingly difficult to select reverse gear on my 2006, Ducato. LIfting the detente seems to take me into no man's land and the gear lever is getting stuck so that I have to bang it to disengage it. Could something have got loose so I am going further than I should? No other gears...

Lock out ring?

I believe the OP means the reverse gear lock out below the gear lever knob. Usually lift then select reverse.

If the OP is still reading try a squirt of WD40 to free it them a squirt of silicon spray to lubricate it.
Cover the dash and gear lever boot with rags.
