We planned to stay at the Rowing club, but the6 are closed, risk of flooding. Can anyone recommend an alternative in town? Or nice pub with food.
Thanks Karen

I understand overnight is allowed at car park up near the football ground. Check out the council website.

Hi all. We are in the football club area car Park Merton Meadows. Hgvs can stay overnight. Website suggests we can, but car park board says there are motorhome bays, there aren't.
Have managed to pay 24 hours fir £5.36, so fingers crossed we are OK no signs saying no overnight sleeping or camping.
Ther3 is a home match against Scarborough today, so car park full.

Last night stopped at Kings Head Docklow, which is a motorhome fun RVOC stopover
Lovely landlord and landlady. Good food, free water snd hook up. Toilet dump. Recommended. They have a RV so they understand our requirements.
Level carpark, but big puddles.

Let us know if everything goes ok. Was a stopover I had planned to use in future.

Hi tonka
We didn't stay overnight. But only because the continual heavy rain meant we didn't want to head into town for a beer or a meal.
Instead we headed back to an old favourite, the Talbot Inn at Knightwick.
Bit confused as your earlier post said you stayed at the Kings Head Docklow

Sorry, for any confusion. Friday night in Docklow intended to go

to the Rowing Club on Saturday, but couldn't due to flood risk, and ended up back at the Talbot.
We had a great night.
Bonus was the farmers market in their car park, followed by some Morris Men, and the Bishop blessing a ploughshare.
Stocked up with artisan cheeses, interesting sausages etc, about £40 worth.
Delicious carpet picnic tea at home 😊
Happy but expensive weekend. 🙃

Hiya, maybe in 3 weeks or so? I am still trying to get to my family Christmas day with my kids and grandchildren, it has been cancelled twice due to various lurgies.
