:hi2::hiya:, we are newbies starting out on our new adventures. Both retired last year and have been searching for our motorhome from September last year.

Finally found him (it was love at first sight) - a 2011 Hobby T500 GFSC limited edition - wonder what the 'limited edition' means. Does it have something extra special! Also what the GFSC stands for?

We are trying to source a spare wheel for this motorhome - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Joining us on our merry travels will be 'Gizmo' - a 10 month old French Bulldog.

Looking forward to meeting up with other 'adventurers' on our travels. :):)

Have a wee browse on Ebay for a spare wheel, it should just be a standard Transit 16inch wheel.

........Also what the GFSC stands for?

Speaking to a dealer (not Hobby) earlier and he thinks that similar to British vans, the letters refer to specific parts of the layout, but can be complicated by some being in German.

He wasn't 100% certain, but seems to think G = Garage and F = Fixed Bed. He wouldn't hazard a guess at the SC, but at least it's somewhere to start.

Congratulations on retiring and now finding your perfect MH.
Gizmo will love the adventure.
Do you have any ideas of where you'll explore this summer?
We aren't retired so just grab a day or two away, so I love to hear the plans and dreams of others.
Many happy travels to the three of you

Hello to all you wonderful 'funsters' who very kindly took the time to welcome us to the motorhome club - it is greatly appreciated. Also a big thank you to Kingham funster who asked the dealer about our van name; Ambulancekidd and bi6dfs who gave us info on spare wheels.
To paddyfrog - we have visited Hillhead, Brixham campsite on our first excursion out in 'Max' the motorhome (name provided courtesy of our grandchildren). We had a good laugh settling in to find out how things work and being confined in a much smaller space compared to home. The biggest laugh we had was when we had to get up at 2.30am in the morning, with torch, to wind the awning down as weather turned windy and it felt like Max was going to blow over! Our next outing will be to the Norfolk motorhome show in July, where we hope to meet more funsters - anyone going? Anticipating going to Western countries show in Malvern (we have got our cowboy hats at the ready. ) After these two events we are heading abroad to sunny weather in Spain and then the open road beckons to where next!! Can't wait. Kind regards Mary, Mike and Gizmo
