Hello Peter and welcome. What area are you from? You will be made very welcome here.

Hi Peter and welcome to Fun. If you are based where we think you are you can also give us some advice on things Europe. (y)

Welcome Peter, tell us a little about yourself and where you are from

Hello and welcome.
This is a brilliant place to be - you can ask any question and get lots of replies - some are even useful!!!!!!
Seriously though (we do do serious when it's required) this is a very supportive group of people who go the extra mile to help out another funster.

Thanks all of you, that is really nice!
I am living in Belgium, near to the border with the Netherlands - close to the old mining sites in Belgian Limburg. Married with two lovely daughters (13 + 9) and a family dog (springer spaniel).
we were out once with the MH (newly acquired in April) to Zeeland (Veerse Meer) which met our expectations very well, and we identified many items we forgot to bring along. nothing life threatening however :-)
next August we will drive to Italy / LAzise, planning to go over the Gothard pass and then enjoy the Italian campsite (my sister was there last year, she was our reference)
thanks again,
Peter.

We have lists that I have laminated and "cross off" as things are packed. Jim sells them in his shop or you can make your own personal lists.

Daftest thing we ever forgot were the duvets........... they were left at the front door of the house.

Generally all you need is tickets, credit card, passport and any other papers you are supposed to carry with you. You can buy everything else en-route.

Hi Peter and welcome from sunny Scotland, your daughters will love the MH life. My daughter turned 17 yesterday and she loves the holidays we've had.

We have other Belgians on here too... I hope they spot your posting to come and introduce themselves. :)

For those rare few who don't understand Dutch:
Welcome Peter,
You will feel at home here quickly.
Funny, in April you were near us and we are regularly in Limburg because a sister in law lives there.

Paul and Ineke

bedankt!
thanks!
dat gaat snel hier / this moves along real quick :-)

Welcome I have Belgian friends who have a house on the Belgium Dutch border ...have spent many happy times with them .:) But at the moment they are living in Portugal
