Hello and hab checks Yorkshire (1 Viewer)

We bought our first MH last year and are in for life! As newbies we've found this site great.

She's a 1997 hymer and we're needing to get hab checks done shortly, we're in the york area and wondered if anyone has recommendations for who to use.

I have a pal who has had a lot of work done at Steve Mann in Harrogate, (bought something damp, then backed it into a post!) He keeps going back. Never used them myself though.

They don't service anything .They just check the fridge is working and probably look at the flame..BUSBY.

Hi,
We have used Tim from "Caravanman" for the past 5 years for annual habitation checks. Father and son business from Bedale and quite happy to travel down to Harrogate area so presume York wouldn't be too far. Does a really thorough job, highly recommended.

I've just read elsewhere that gas fridges can play up if the MH isn't level so it might be worth checking that

Sorry for the late reply, hanks for the reply, yes I read that too, but we've experimented and that doesn't seem to be the issue, maybe just needs a service

I’ve used Kiwi and they were excellent. Also sorted a problem with fridge getting too cold. Also fixed hab door lock. They really know what they’re doing.

Hull maybe a little farther than you may like but I would big up FM Caravans. Steve who owns/runs it is excellent, we take our 2014 Hymer there. He does the warranty work for Elddis, who are now owned by Hymer and builds PVC’s.
