We have suffered from a couple of annoying problems with our Dometic Heki Midi rooflight, one being that with the rooflight open and the blind drawn across, any sort of wind or breeze makes the blind rattle, and secondly, we have had a few times when the rooflight is open, that a gust of wind has taken it off its latch position and either swung it fully open or it has closed itself.

To cure the blind rattling, I have fitted a draft excluder type brush which holds the edges of the blind and stops it from rattling in its guide,

and to stop the rooflight from moving position if a gust catches it, the simple a cheap fix is a short length of 10mm silicone tube pushed into the handle track to lock it in place.

Not sure if mines the same roof light but I made a locking plate that uses the second position lock.
A piece of angle with a couple of m4 screws and nuts, the nuts go in the channel.

A different version of the same rooflight to ours Nick, we do not have the push down locking tab that you have in your photo.
I started playing around making cardboard templates up to make plastic swing into place locking tabs, but then an old length of fuel tubing caught my eye and gave me the idea of wedging something in the handle track to lock the handle from moving.

Yes ours is the mini and yours is the midi.
