I'm a Progressing Newbie
There’s a bit hanging out of our roof light.

Do I need to disassemble the Heki & see what’s happened?
Are they easy to take a part? Will the Heki manual help with this task?
What can I expect the task to consist of?
TIA

Under the perforated sections are screws, undo, and the blind section drops down. Easy.

I hoped it should be an e z task.

Any recollection of what the plastic cord should be doing?
Maybe I'll need to replace it.

I'm home now & can track down Heki/Dometic manuals (y)

Got up high enough inside to look around the Heki
Looks like the exposed areas need some light debris removing but I’m still not sure what the loose plastic part does.
The fly screen part & “solid” screen operate OK.

Vacuumed up some of the debris I saw the other day.

The only operational issue we have with the Heki is that we can’t have the fly screen part pulled out passed 1/4 the way as the solid screen pulls harder.

Is that loose plastic tube part of the fly screen side’s resistance?
I’m reluctant to take something apart that is mostly working without knowing more about the mechanics.
TIA

The fly screen metal part "fell off" the track this morning when I tried pull it across :o
I was being naughty & pulling off centre.

Anyway, I got a real close look at that floppy plastic tube & where it fits.
It's originating in the metal fixing bit and slides back in :o

Don't know why it was hanging out so much.
So I guess we can mark this case as resolved.

Funny thing is, I did try to untrack this metal fixing bar around the earlier posts but not wanting to make things worse, I must've been to delicate in my attempts. lol

It may not be screwed up, they are normally held in by clips so it could just pull down.

on the mini Heki the screen frame is held with barbed clips and it just pulls off.
