Now winter is upon us has anyone used there heating while driving so when they arrive at their destination the van is nice and warm , of course only if you have the crash sensor gauge fitted , so has anyone actually used it while driving .?

One of the reasons we like Alde heating is the heat exchanger, works brilliantly uses no gas or extra diesel, lovely warm van after a drive, even warms the water.

If we are using the van it will be warm and cab heater will maintain it without running the hab heating when driving.
If setting off from home with a cold van I run the heating for ½ hour before leaving.
We have the Secumotion & anti-rupture hoses and travel with the gas on but never found it necessary to run the hab heating, probably would if it was - 10 outside.

We have accidentally left our Truma fire on after a lunch stop. No problem.

Yes, used it yesterday coming back from Henley site. Nice and toasty.

Always leave my Alde heating on while travelling. (y)

We are fortunate enough to have Truma diesel heating fitted to our van, so it is actually better for us to get the heating started and running while the engine is also running as it can use a fair bit of current on start-up. Also we generally have our son and dog in the back to nice to keep them warm and snug! So short answer, yes...always unless the weather is warm enough to not need it!!
