knotiki 640
Hi new to motorhoming bought last year in between lockdown can seem seem to get the heating to work on ehu just continues to blow out cold air am I missing something thanks

My 2001 640 had a 230v heater switch below the U lounge seating as well as on the heater control panel.
Can't remember if it was marked as heater or just a lightning bolt symbol.
The other option... The 230v element could have failed.

Sorry to tell you, but your model of KonTiki doesn't have electric heating built into your gas heater.

If you tell us the model of heater, it might help me to check, but I'm almost certain thats whats up.

I have a 1996 640 and it does have electric built into the heater. Not all do but if you don't you wont have the controller.
Firstly it only works on EHU but you know that.
There is a separate switch on the wall somewhere near the controller to turn on the power, mine is to the left of the wardrobe on the wall.
The controller has 4 positions 2kw at the top then Off then 500 watts then 1000 watts. Also build in to the same dial and easily missed is the the thermostat ring. If it's not turned up high enough the heating won't come on.
The fan control on the heater is separate and uses 12v.
If you need to now anything else about you van let me know, I've had mine 5 years.

One other thought, there are 230v trips built into the control panel in the wardrobe. One of those could have tripped. One is for the heating, one for the water heater and the other I believe for the fridge. Screenshot_20191219-223244.png

Undo the screw in the top of the fire at the back , then pull the top of the fire towards you. Release the 2 spring clips and look in the back to see if you do have the 2 elements fitted behind the gas burner block . Be carefull of the wires that connect to the rotery switch and the drive rod for gas ignition.

There is a control box at the back of the fire with 3 relays inside , maybe able to see it in the bottom of the wardrobe if the fire is bellow . They are not up to the job and usually fail. I had to change all 3 of mine, easy to do if you are ok with a soldering iron. Got them from ebay.

That's the original controller apologies I described the newer one, I had forgotten I changed mine a few years ago. Too much sun this afternoon 😜
The top left hand fused switch in your photo supplies the power to the electric part of the heater. Does the little red light come on when you switch it on?

Then your trip is ok and the fuse is ok. I can't remember how my old heater worked I'm afraid, can you put up a photo of the top of the heater to remind me what controls you have?

There is a fault finding path in the link I posted.
