having problems today?

That's BAD news. This happened several times with another Forum that subsequently went subscription only.

No fear of subscription here John. That other site you mention, I have no idea who you mean but lets do some maths.

Let's assume it had 1850 paying members, hosting would cost each member about 60 pence a year. Any more than that and the site is in profit, so are they charging more than a pound? If they are, its for profit and not for the server space, Is the website a business maybe?

I already have the dedicated server, but just plucking up the courage to port our database over to it Should be done by the weekend This site will forever be free to is contributors.

The following screenshot, whilst not from our provider does show how cheap a dedicated server and unlimited bandwidth can be.
