My Thetford flush has ceased to function today.

When I press the button, it sounds like it has run out of water - ie buzzing but not squirting. ( I have filled it up so I know that there is water in there, before you ask)

What should I check next, please. It appears that I can prise off the cover by the button but what should I look for?

In the edge of the pan there is a hole where the water squirts in, if you seal your lips round that and blow you may release an air lock ?

No - I am wondering whether there may be a leak though. I’ll try filling it up again and have a look underneath.
If it has water in should work, are you sure you filled the correct tank?

If it's buzzing I would suspect the pump is jammed somehow. I'm told, though haven't tried it so up to you, that you can just lift out the swivel bowl section, but there will be a pipe of course to the "spray" nozzle. I'd guess that's how you access the pump.

But no doubt someone will come along shortly and tell me I'm talking rubbish - as usual!

Only works if you're a contortionist with a small head & big lips..... Don't forget your antibiotics

Simple fix, you need one of these filled with H20

If you are desperate you could always use the bidet......

The sink is also an option ....but more suited to men.....liquids only......

..... :Eeek:

While we are on the subject has anyone thought how Thetford decided to place the hole?

Who did the research to ensure the bombs 'hit their target' without hitting the sides....

just asking.... :whistle2:

A Lizard in a bucket is always a cheap Bidet option.

Well, dear Funsters, I know that you like some feedback on these toilet threads **snigger** ?

I got back to the site - which is up a very steep hill from the town - and put some more water in the tank.

Hey presto! It’s working just fine now. Airlock or just a good jiggle of the pump - who knows ?

Thanks for the replies - useful or not ?

Did you find the water inlet then ;) Don't start the engine if you put the water in the diesel tank:oops:

If your water gauge is as vague as ours if your not level it’s way out we filled up on site the other day until I got wet feet and the gauge still read 1/3 full until we levelled up.
If I drain the fresh water system it takes 20 litres just to fill the electric and gas water boilers on the hot side.

Had mine stop too how do you get to pump regards same toilet swivel seat

Thanks guys all working now sorry to hijack post regards steve
