Just been looking at planning the next trip and came upon this campingcarpark that says it has a free shuttle to Paris, anyone know if this is right or does it just take you to a station or something,
Seems a bargain if it does what it says for £12.

In the write up it says direct to Paris, but one of the reviews says to a station.

I would email CCP and ask them , they are very helpful and reply quite quickly.

We stayed outside Paris on a campsite and they asked if we were going to Paris. "Oui" we answered. 2 tickets for the underground for the day were then presented.

Im sure you will hear from them. I've emailed on a couple of occasions and they always replied but sometimes the next day.

It's probably because everybody is reeling in shock at the idea that you are thinking about using a Campingcarpark
Wasn't looking for one, but it was on my proposed route, and if it could get you into Paris in under an hour without any driving or parking charges, it's got to be a bargain but rb62 post above looks to be a bit more realistic.

Trainline Says it could take less than an hour ? I guess like any route some trains may stop all over whilst others at peak commuter times are a quick one ?

That's right but the actual write-up on the camping carpark website says, free shuttle bus to Paris in less than an hour.
See my post 5

Yes I noticed your post 5 but suspect it’s a bad translation on their website.

I think you're right. The French says 'navettes gratuites pour visiter Paris (moins d'une heure de route.)'

'Free shuttle bus in order to visit Paris (less than an hour's journey.)

So, that's not clear whether the shuttle bus takes you right to Paris or just to the station🤔.
The journey is short, though!

We’ve stayed overnight on this CCP at Dreux. From memory it is located on the edge of a trading estate, behind a car dealership. Was tidy enough but not particularly near any useful facilities. Didn‘t travel into Paris from there so sorry can’t comment on that aspect.

Thanks everyone, not really interested what the site is like as we would only be sleeping there, the fact that it said shuttle to Paris was what attracted me but if it just takes you to a station,it's nothing you couldn't do on your own.
They still haven't replied to my email, so will wait and see.

I know you aren't bothered about the site, but honestly, find somewhere else. As said by others, it's in an industrial zone and a good distance from the town. The garage next door has noisy dogs running around the adjacent grounds and the railway is right behind the site. I didn't see any shuttle, maybe it's just a free local bus service.
This is the second worst CCP I have ever used.

EDIT to add. My better half vaguely recalls signs on site about transport to Paris.

Interesting isn't it, they still haven't replied.
The state of the park doesn't really matter as you could even move off when you get back and for a tenner to park your van securely for a day and a bus into Paris it's still a bargain.

Looking at Google maps it seems the Aire is next to the local bus operator's depot. Lots of buses parked and there seems to be some sort of park and ride car park that buses may travel from. That may be the reason for the shuttle bus

Ok I have had a reply from CCP, not very good I'm afraid, but as expected I suppose, so what they are on about in the info on the site I don't know. :(
