I've got what looks like hardened tree sap in a couple of places on the van.
Any hints on the best way to remove?
I've tried wd40, got some Halfords insect and tar remover but not sure if it's safe to use on the GRP.
Thanks
Andy

Work the hardened sap with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) on a microfibre cloth. (y)
White spirit will also work.

I have no recommendations based on experience. But if I was to have a go this is what I would do.

Hair dryer to soften it up. Not too hot so you don't damage the paint work. Then a plastic spudger to get the bulk of it off.
Once it is off soapy hot water?

I used alcohol hand gel with success. The covid stuff.
Scraped the thick stuff off first with decorating scraper.

Isopropyl alcohol. Or any surplus hand gel. I’ve got lots of the stuff in pump- tainer.
