Can anyone tell me where to find my hands free microphone the moho is a ROLLERTEAM pegaso. Dealer says it’s inside the drivers seat headrest which I find hard to believe as it’s a high back seat and the only wires coming from the seat are for the seatbelt light. The fault is if you call anyone or you receive a call you can hear them but they can’t hear you.

Most handsfree mics are in A post or in front of driver . Cant be specific on your vehicle .

If it's a current Ducato with factory radio it's integral to the cab roof lamp unit. Reception is software controlled by the radio. There have been a couple of software updates for the Fiat radio supposedly to improve both hands free and voice command functions, but it's not that good IMO.

It is as you say a Ducato but the interior light is an aftermarket led unit and quite high up. And there is no integrated mic. If reception is software controlled does it have to be plugged in to be altered. Can the updates be sorted by the Moho dealer or fiat dealer.

Normally the stereo has a built in mic and the external mic is an extra so it should work without an external mic.
The sounds more like a Bluetooth problem not all stereos like all phones. Try a different phone to see if that is the problem.

If it's the Fiat touchscreen radio I don't believe there is a built in mic. If the converter has used their own parts the mic could be anywhere. Software update for the radio is a Fiat Pro dealer job unless you know an independent garage that subscribes to Fiat's technical portal. But I would concentrate on locating the mic first.

It did work and then just stopped. Tried a few different phones but to no avail.

Have you deactivated the microphone mute button on the dashboard by accident.

First thing I thought of as it has two mute buttons one on the radio and one on the wheel. But all is as it should be.

Hi, did you get your hands free microphone issue sorted? I’ve got the same problem in my Pegaso 745

Yes we did get it sorted.
it turned out in the end there was no microphone fitted which was a mystery to me as it did work and then stopped but there you go. If your van is 18/19 the mic should be on the right hand side of the driver just under the reverse camera screen. If it’s a later van they changed the radio and I believe the mic is integral to the radio.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve found the microphone ok, it’s a 2019 and is under the reversing camera screen as you say. The problem I have is that I can hear the person the other end ok but there’s so much background noise from the microphone they can’t hear me. If I’m not driving it’s ok but as soon as I pull away the microphone picks up lots of creaking, banging and road noise. It makes the hands free virtually unusable, it’s been like it from new.

Unfortunately unless you are able to move the mic I don’t think you will get it any better. Ours is exactly the same. No doubt all ROLLERTEAM A class will have the same fault. Hopefully later vans with the revised radio set up don’t have the same problem. I’ve never come across any on my travels to be able to ask.

I’m going to try and put in a claim on the warranty and see if they can sort it out. After all, it’s something that doesn’t work properly so needs fixing!

Please keep me posted. Whilst in the process of trying to get ours sorted, the dealer changed the radio for another out of an identical van. This did nothing but invalidate the radio warranty. It turned out in our case as it will in yours to be a build issue and not vehicle issue. And although Fiat got ours working in a fashion they charged my supplying dealer.
