habitation door will not lock ? (1 Viewer)

Hello Guys has anybody had this problem before ? I have an autotrail cheyenne 635 se 2006 and the door refuses to lock and the mechanism seems to be rattling inside the door it is all sealed up and it looks like a big job to strip this down. I had to come home early from a break in north wales as rain was flooding in I had to secure door with bungees and swmbo was not amused, any thoughts please, before I venture into the unknown .....oh:
