Whilst away some ******* scrote
Tried to force our habitation door lock with a screwdriver
They did not get in fortunately however they chipped the outer lock barrel
It still works but looks a bit of a mess.
All the lockers and habitation lock are opened by the same key.

So rather than get another lock barrel on a different key
I want to swap the barrel from the habitation door
to a small outer locker which is rarely used

The habitation door lock looks like this
Does anyone know
a) The type of lock
b) How to remove it

Cheers Kev

Thanks in advance

Don't know the make.

In one of your pictures you can see one of the screw/bolt covers as been removed/missing, pop the rest of them out and undo the bolts, that will remove it. I did mine earlier in the year. Post a picture when you've removed it and we might be able to see how the barrel comes out.

Cheers mate problem solved I hope

just looked
the screw caps covering the screws are such a good fit
they looked just like plastic moulding marks but with a very sharp stanley knife they will come out
Should be strightforward I hope
Thanks again
Merry Christmas
Kev

Pop the barrel with any slim piece of metal that will slide in, all you trying to do is drop a tab at the far end of the barrel, look on youtube for a demo.

I could be wrong about your door lock but mine, which looks very similar, can be removed in seconds by a special key supplied to manufacturers agents. When inserted, it unlocks a couple of extra little plungers that hold the barrel in and it comes straight out.

Hi all
been xmas shopping today so door lock on hold until the bearded man has made his entrance.
By that I don't mean the f-----g scrote with his/her screwdiver

Thanks for the info in these posts, same lock on a 2002 Hobby 600, nearly got the 2lb hammer out till seen a very tight fitting screw cover (thought I had taken all of them out, have now)

Once again cheers

Confirm that your habitation locks are FAP. My Hymer has FAWO locks, FW key number . Do a search for a 'lock barrel removal key' for your make of lock. With one of those inserted into an UNLOCKED lock, the barrel should come out without having to touch the rest of the lock. Hopefully the screwdriver hasn't damaged the lock barrel internals
