Well I phoned them and the guy said never have and didn't cover them.. Even checked.. apparently.. well it is their loss now as I've got one more UK company to talk to and if they are no good it will be ADAC

I have had Green Flag on my motorhome for years .. and have had to call them out twice in that time. Both times they arrived within the hour and sorted the problem out.

Just a word of warning it clearly states nothing over 3.5t -

We're with Greenflag but through the Caravan Club Mayday scheme which gives cover for larger caravans & motorhomes

The CC cover is different to GF standard cover -that's why it's CC-GF -Same with RAC and RAC caravan and camping club (ARIVALS) ;)

Be interesting to see what happens on renewal date then as I have not renewed the Caravan Club membership but would want to renew Green Flag. Will they notice and notify me of changes in my cover .. waiting with interest.

Hi Joy have you got simply Green flag breakdown or have you got green flag mayday via caravan club ? if it's the later then it is run by and paid for by the CC so if you are no longer a member of CC then your green flag membership will have no cover --worth checking out ? Better to be sure rather than sorry :) I had the same problem a few yrs back when I took out RAC arivals via C&CC when asked over the phone they assured me no problems until I asked them to confirm in writing/email -It transpired that I had no cover except roadside assistance -no recovery because that bit was paid for by C&CC -long story but I got a refund and different cover else where :D

Thanks Terry ..... Did you get tonight's lottery ticket between us because I definitely will pay for a secretary if I win.... so much bloomin' paperwork involved in owning a motorhome :(

Green flag do not cover motorhomes on the Continent whether you got it via the CC or not. Cover only applies to the UK. Perhaps that is where the confusion comes from.

My wife and I have Green Flag personal cover (attached to her Fiat 500) and I specifically asked if I was covered whilst driving my motorhome and the reply was an emphatic 'YES'

I've had no trouble with Green Flag, when the Clutch Pedal broke in the middle of Dartmoor (yes Fiat Ducattos have a plastic clutch pedal:doh:) they picked us up, drove to the garage, it was saturday, they could not source a pedal that day, then carried us to a CCsite, picked us up on tuesday, back to the Garage, Repaired and on the road again! For the just under £120 a year I think I got a bargain.
In Europe "Red Pennant" which is another CC thingee, also very reasonable.

A friend had a breakdown cover with the AA, His M/H was 5mtres 200 millimetre, they actually ran a tape over his unit and refused to pick him up, as he was over 5mtres!

Added ours onto our Saga insurance. About £ 100 more with full UK and Euro assistance. (vehicle weighs 6 tons, 8.4 mtrs long)

I forgot to mention in the previous post that we pay about £65 a year.

phoned green flag at 5.45pm 18/11/20 asked about t/c on motor homes if you have may day with c/c no problem if with green flag page 11 3.5ton max hope this helps lol ray

cant beat that RAC arrival scheme. It covers you personally, with family members a bit extra, in any vehicle you are in as a driver or passenger, vehicle any weight, any length. If it cant be repaired easily, Then takes you onto destination, and then after holiday, home. £42 yr for camping and caravan club, and £80 for arrival breakdown.

also with rac arrival scheme, its very good, with CCC, used in july this year, vehicle battery just died :( provided a new one 120 pounds, 5year guarantee, it is as said by terry , we all need to check these things and not assume everything is ok, (y) but also wondering whether to ditch CCC , so would need to ask for breakdown/etc :unsure:cover i know some do not take if over 3500 kg and length over 7 mts i think

Green flag would not cover mine. 3.8t and over 3mtr height IE 3.2, irrespective of in ccc or not,
